About Changshu City
Changshu, a county-level city under the administration of Suzhou, is situated in the southeast of Jiangsu Province and at the heart of the Yangtze River Delta. It prides itself on a 3,000-year profound history and is reputed as the celebrated “Land of Abundance in Jiangnan”. As an important cradle of the splendid Wu culture and a nationally recognized historical and cultural city, it has long been renowned for its profound cultural heritage, time-honored traditions and a great many distinguished scholars and outstanding talents bred here.
Scenic Charm of Changshu
Qin Lake (琴湖)
Qin Lake (琴湖), the only inner-city lake in downtown Changshu and the city’s vibrant “urban living room”, is just a short walk from Hilton Changshu, the venue of this conference. Blending profound guqin culture, picturesque Yushan Mountain and lakeside scenery, and modern amenities, it serves as an ideal retreat for attendees to relax amid their busy schedules.
Changshu Fangta Garden (常熟方塔园)
Changshu Fangta Garden (常熟方塔园), a national 4A-level scenic spot named after the Southern Song Dynasty square pagoda, is only 2.2 kilometers from the conference venue. Its “Three Treasures” include the pagoda, a Song-Dynasty well and ginkgo tree, blending Jiangnan garden elegance and Song-style architecture. Home to a stone carving museum and celebrity hall, it has been free to visit since 2022, offering attendees easy access to Changshu’s history.
Yushan Scenic Area (虞山风景区)
Yushan Scenic Area (虞山风景区), a national 5A-level site and birthplace of Wu culture, is about 4 kilometers from the conference venue. Boasting over 96% forest coverage, it features both breathtaking natural scenery and time-honored historic sites such as the Jianmen Pass and Yushan City Wall. A natural oxygen bar, it’s an ideal spot for visitors to relax and explore Changshu’s profound cultural heritage.
